Indian Adventure New Delhi India Gate India Gate is India's national war memorial. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, the memorial had its foundation stone laid in 1921 and was innaugurated ten years later. Amar Jawan Jyoti, or the Flame of the Immortal Soldier, was added under the arch following the Bangladesh Liberation war in 1971.
