Located ten kilometres east of Jaipur, Galta Ji or the Monkey Temple is a collection of 250 year old Hindu temples nestled into narrow ravine where a freshwater spring feeds seven sacred pools that are reputed to have curative powers. This pilgrimage site is famous for the colony of over 5000 red-faced macaque monkeys living in and around the complex.
