Takayama
Yatai or Festival Floats
The Takayama Festival or Matsuri is held in spring and autumn with each festival being associated with a particular shrine and having Yatai or floats for use in processions during the celebrations. Some of the floats were on exhibit in the train station during our visit. There is a museum where the floats are displayed near the Hachiman Shrine.
