Grand Trunk Railway Station

This train station, constructed by the Grand Trunk Railway in Vars in 1908, is an example of the most common "Type E" station design.

There is a central office for ticket sales and telegraphy, a freight room to one side and a waiting room for passengers on the other.

The Station is constructed using balloon frame construction with dimensional lumber replacing varying sizes of timber and nails taking the place of mortise and tenon joints.

The train station was the first building relocated to the museum site in 1976.
