Myumbani Collection Migration Camp to Arusha

A young black-backed jackal was spotted in the bush.

The eland is the largest species in the antelope family.

With its long pointed face and close-set lyre-shaped horns, the hartebeest inhabits the grasslands of Serengeti and Ngorongoro.

After several impressive views of hippos in pools, on our last game drive we had the good luck of seeing these night-time browsers out of the water eating grass during the day.

A common sight in the trees and shrubs of the Serengeti, the baglafecht weaver breeds in loosely woven nests usually placed in the foliage.

Leaving the small airport at Seronera on a Twin Otter, we flew over the Serengeti towards mountainous region around Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. From Lake Manyara we flew over the forested hills and densely populated farmlands to Arusha.
