1941 Air Post Letter from Nassau, Bahamas to Kitchener, Canada

This cover, postmarked Nassau, January 23, 1941 from Ronald Albury (1905 - 1959) who was a Commission Agent and Wholesaler in Nassau, is addressed to J.M. Schneider Ltd., meatpackers in Kitchener, Ontario. It is franked with a two penny pale slate definitive issued on April 19, 1938 and eight penny ultramarine and scarlet “greater flamingos in flight” definitive of July 1, 1938.

Note the “Air Mail” handstamp and a slogan cancellation reading, “Come to Nassau, Bahamas, Ideal Tourist Resort.” There is also a shield-shaped patriotic label declaring “There will always be an England.” There are no markings on the reverse of the cover.
