Bird Definitives of 1990-1991
In 1990 Tanzania issued a set of twelve stamps depicting native birds including the masked weaver, emerald cuckoo, little bee-eater, red bishop, bateleur, scarlet-crested sunbird, lesser flamingo, helmeted guinea-fowl, white pelican, saddle-billed stork, crowned crane and ostrich. In 1991 three denominations were added depicting pigeons, the pied crow and the white-headed vulture. A souvenir sheet with two stamps depicting the superb starling and the lilac-breasted roller is not shown here.
