Sea Birds Definitives of 1963
Blue shading is missing from one variety of the 1 1/2d definitive.
On May 23,1963 the fifth set of definitive stamps for Ascension was issued. The pictures featured sea birds including the brown booby, the black noddy, the fairy tern, the red-billed tropic bird, the brown noddy, the wideawake tern, the frigate bird, the white booby, the yellow-billed tropic bird, the madeiran storm petral and the red-footed booby with several species being depicted at different phases of development.
