Located approximately half way between Havana and Veradero Airport,
Jibacoa is a small community near Santa Cruz del Norte. Its beaches
are lined with resorts for both foreign tourists and Cubans. The
international resorts are the five year old Superclub Breezes (pictured
above) and its neighour on the left, Villa Tropico. The latter, now
described as "the Italian resort," was offered in Canadian travel brochures
in the early 1980's when it offered simple accommodation on a sunny beach.
On either side of the International there are vacation camps for Cubans.
