Specimen and Reprint Stamps
In August 1892 this sheet was placed on sale to collectors for 20/-. It includes thirty-eight stamps issued between 1855 and 1892 including denominations up £1 and the complete postage due issue of 1891-1892. The stamps have been rendered invalid for postal use by "SPECIMEN" and "REPRINT" overprints. Different sheets show some variations in the types of overprint found on the individual stamps and some sheets (not this one) including official stamps according to the inscription on the bottom of the sheet.
